My oncologist says it will be for three years. on his book, which he showed me, maintenance is just oral meds. but why is it that every month he is still giving me doxorubicin/cyclophosphamide everymonth intravenously?

TBM after 11th month of treatment

9th September, 2017 diagnosed with Tuberculosis Meningitis (TBM) from then initially AKT4 , prednisolone and many supporting medicine was running. Then few days later cyclophosphamide was introduced after getting a series of brain strokes and that medicine was continued for 1month along with other medicines. Due to affect on immunity system cyclophosphamide was replaced with MMF and was continued for 6month 2tab a day. After 3 month of AKT4 , AKT3 was introduced and was running from 4th to 10th month. At the end of 2nd month of the treatment he came from hospital to home. At that point of time he was not able to sit, walk, talk and eat by himself and even had difficulty to move his all 4 limbs. Gradually he became capable of moving legs and hands , then he started talking and eating by himself. From the initial day in hospital  physiotherapy had been given to him and still the same is running everyday. should he continue the AKT treatment now also ?  Time to recover TBM completely?

Mother has Breast cancer recurrence

My Mother got 6-cycles of chemo with doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide for breast cancer, 3rd stage in detected in 2015 March (close to menopause); was cured as per all tests. then had recurrence in July 2016, was given taxane with no positive results. Now she's treated with methotrexate and cycylophosphamide oral. Are there better options available?

I have been suffering from wegeners disease 6 months ago and diagnosed at that time creatine was 8.1 and after that treated with 5 cycles of plasmapheresis and prednisolone Then gradually decreased creatine level to 1.3 Mouth ulcer and foot pain also decreased I was used cyclophosphamide and omanacortil All are in normal But yesterday for the check up creatine level was increased to 1.7 So what happen and again antibodies attaching again Please reply me

Hodjikins lymphoma in the year of 2001.

Dear sir/ mam, I was suffered Hodjikins lymphoma in the year of 2001 and completed 6 Chemo ( CHOP ) drugs in Jun 2002. Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide, Vincristine.  Afterwards, I did regular checkups like Chest x-ray and blood tests. USG ABDOMEN. All the tests are normal as of now. Is there any other tests are required in order to make healthy life ? Also, need to take any precautions ? Kindly suggest.

Dear Doctors, Need your advice please. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in Aug 2019. She has undergone radical mastectomy surgery followed by chemotherapy as explained below: 1. 4 cycles of EC (Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide) every 21 days. 2. Weekly Paclitaxel for 12 weeks. She completed her chemotherapy on 26th March 2020. She still has tingling and numbness in palms and feet. And itching in few areas. Request you to suggest a medicine to cure this.
