Iam19 weeks pregnant. Had fever from the last 1 week. Dr prescribed antibiotics and cough syrup. Ambrodil s is the cough syrup. Is this syrup safe during pregnancy?

My wife is having chest cold and cough for more than 5 days now. Whenever lying down cough increases. We tried OTC tablets for 1 day and taking Ambrodil syrup for past 3 days. Still cough has not reduced.

Hello, My baby is 9 month and 25 days. Suffering from low fever, major cough and cold. My doctor have prescribed 1. Ambrodil S = dosage 5 ML ( thrice a day ) @ 4 days. 2. Syrup XYZAL = dosage 2.5 ML ( once at night)@ 4 night. Is Ambrodil S safe for infants as not mentioned for  pediatrics on bottle. Please suggest. Thanks in advance. Swarna
