Do intake of contraceptive pill just before periods may result into an extended periods? Why? What other negative effects do we see?

Primolut N again after 8 days of no peri
I had Primolut N for 3 times a day for 3 days.
It's been exactly 7-8days but I haven't had my period. I'm going on vacation in a couple of days and don't want my period during that duration.
Is it safe to take Primolut N again?
