My mom has been feeling has been feeling uneasy and feels a choking sensation when she tries to lie down and specially after eating food . This is accompanied by some chest pain also. She has been taking some medicines for gas but the effect fades once she stops a taking the medicines. What Lifestyle changes should she make to fight this issue

Dear sir Since three days I have been facing too much gas out through my mouth.and feeling very discomfot in middle of chest upto throat and sometimes back shoulders too.Always belching(thenupu in telugi) is my problem. I have met doctor ...he has given sucraz O gel and veloz D(rebeprozol sodium) and three sleeping pills. I have used two days still I am facing same issue.if laid on bed, this discomfot is increasing. I am feeling some sponze or thermocole in my food pipe.there is no pain while swallowing the food or water. While sleeping on bed I am feeling that it is hard to respiration and breath.
