Why steroids are used in medical treatment, asking because covid patients are given steroids, it suppresses the immune, then why this thing is used in treatment?

My mother is non-diabetic and 45 years old. She had Covid infection. First five days with normal and then she developed a fever . Initially fever went upto 100. After 8 days of pcm and other prescribed antiviral and antibiotics, we consulted an online doctor. He ordered HRCT and CRP and other blood tests . HRCT score was 8 and Crp was 8 too. He started medrol 16 mg twice a day for 3 days , 16+8 for 2 days and then 8 mg twice a day for next two days . Her medicines gonna end day after tomorrow. She still has 99 fever once a day . Also she is suffering from stiffness in the nose bone, and stiffness in area between cheeks and ears Both side Is this any fungal infection?

My father is a cardiac sarcoidosis patient(currently in remission). Taking medicine prednisolone 5mg, metolr xr 50, azathioprine 100mg.He got covid a month back and got recovered 10 days back . Can he go for vaccination for covid(1st shot), if yes, after how many days. pls advice

Pls suggest me I am having fever 98-99 since last 3-4 days. I had recovered from covid and my latest rtpcr report was negative. Still I am having fever and head seems to be heavy.

All the problems cropping up suddenly including irregular heartbeat.During lockdown I have self medicated with some homeopathy medicine for uti. Fever started 12 days ago just few hours after taking first dose of covi shield. Today got covid report positive .Fever was 102..since last two days it is 101. Now feeling very weak and sleeping. OXYGEN level fluctuating from 88 to 92.need advice urgently .

I have taken vaccine on 6th May. .I have 99.5-100c fever for first 2days and weakness. .I used 2tablets paracetamol  . .on 4th day it was good. .yesterday again fever is at 101.6 so I again used 2tablets paracetamol. .Today the temperature is at 99.5 from morning and very light cough is there. .I want to go for a test or its normal post vaccine symtoms?. .whether I want to continue using paracetamol?
