I Have -5 D eyes power... I am worried about my retina... Which tests To do for Retina checkup? And How frequent the checkups to be done? Any dos and donts to Stop further retinal deterioration.. Plz reply

Doctor my optician told me that your number has changed so i shown it to doctor in mumbai he checked my eyes with and without dilating and said there is difference in both numbers so we have to wait and check which number your eyes take and told me to come again after a week is that a correct procedure and I'm correctly in pune so i have to go to mumbai again for that?
