Near vision decreased/deteriorating since last 6-7 months. Feeling pressure during reading/writing. Please advise in details.

Patient got LASIK tests done last month and doctor said he is ok to get the procedure. Patient has -8 in both eyes with -3 astigmatism. Power was higher ten years back but has gone down. There is history of optic neuritis in left eye that has healed. Underlying pathology is MS - optic neuritis was diagnosed 10 years back. No other significant symptoms. Is he suitable for getting femtoLASIK? Will the power go completely?

Hello, patient has -8 in both eyes with -3 astigmatism. He's had optic neuritis in left eye - underlying pathology is MS. Optic neuritis is no longer there. Corneal thickness is 592 (right) and 596 (left)

I have near sightedness.Since three years but haven't used anything like spects but now I need to use spects as I'm facing problem.As I think my power is near about 2 less or more than 2 not sure. I have had focusing issues and sometimes it seems that the clarity of the book I am reading is too low. I consulted an optometrist and after various procedures, she handed over a report saying that I have -1.25 (-1.0 SPH and -0.25 CYL) and -0.25 (CYL) power in right and left eye respectively. Now, minus power means myopia and I should have issues looking at faraway objects (which I have looking solely though right eye). My query is : Will wearing the spectacle remove this focusing issue with nearby objects (reading a book with small characters) or I need to consult a separate doctor? Kindly guide.
