Chest pain under right ribcage

For the last couple of days I've had sharp pains beneath the ribcage on my right-hand side. It was manageable until last night. Now, it's hurts when I inhale, causing shallow breathing, and when I'm active or even just switching sleeping/sitting positions. The area is slightly painful to touch as well.

Surgery Nerves

I am having a rib resection surgery (15 years old, female) of my 10th ribs because of my slipping rib syndrome and costochondritis diagnosis. I am very worried about my surgery. How long does this usually take to recover from? Will I be able to perform regular activities? My scars will be pretty large, so how can I cover up my scars without being embarrassed?
