Colonoscopy

Hi doctor, I'm 25 years male suffering Ankylosing spondylitis. In an article I read that colonoscopy is the best screening for CRC . So my question is at what age should I (no family history and not have IBD) go for screening?                                            Thanks for your reply.

Continuation of calcium suplement intake

Hi, my aunt was diagnosed and treated for cancer in her oesophagus in 2016. She has been  on liquid diet - mostly milk based - since then. She has been taking her medications sincerely post treatment. Last year, to suppress pain in her muscles, a doctor asked her to take supplement calcium - ShelCal-HD - and it was very relieving for her. Recently we were informed that excessive intake of calcium can result in stones, and since the pain was no more, we discontinued. This resulted in the revival of the pain. Should we resume the supplement, and at what frequency?

Continuation of Calcium tablets for pain

Hi! In 2016, my aunt was diagnosed and treated for cancer in her tongue. The procedure resulted in her being able to consume only liquid diet - mostly milk based, since then. She has been taking her medicines sincerely. Around last year, she developed pain in her bones, and a doctor prescribed calcium supplement - ShelCal-HD - which helped suppress the pain to some degree. However recently we were informed that excessive intake of calcium, can result in stones, and since the pain was no longer there, she discontinued the supplement. However, the pain has revived since then. Should we resume the calcium supplement? What should be right dosage and frequency? She consumes milk very regularly as a base for almost all her food (her food is always liquid) and is tolerant to milk.
