Stomach Problems & Remedies

I have been suffering from constant throat irritation, the intensity of which varies widely. Sometimes it is barely there and I feel almost normal, other times the irritation intensifies to very painful burning in my lower throat. My ENT performed a laryngoscopy and found vocal cord oedema which he says is indicative of laryngopharyngeal reflux and prescribed me esomeprazole 20mg twice daily. However, it has been 2 months now and symptoms are still fluctuating widely. Can someone explain please?
