Recent blood test report had elevated levels of SGPT (94)and SGOT (50). Need some consultation on treatment. No symptoms experienced.

Whenever I eat food, I feel that the food has stucked near my chest area due to which I am unable to have food.

He is an alcholic and smoking. got lpt n lft and below are the high components in report rest all are in expected LDL - 147 HDL-61 SPOT-103 SPGT-141 Total cholesterol-243 Please suggest if he should immediately start medicine to cure it OR completely stop drinking n smoking and have healthy food for time being?

On 22nd August I had gone through LFT by throcare lab. The values are SGOT -.  42.3 U/l      < 37 ALANINE TRANSAMINASE (SGPT) PHOTOMETRY - 105 U/l        13-40 ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE PHOTOMETRY -101 U/l        53 - 128 GAMMA GLUTAMYL TRANSFERASE (GGT) PHOTOMETRY - 75.4 U/l       < 55 On 9th July I had also gone  through the complete body health checkup in which the values of LFT are some what similar as what is of on 22nd August test. Actually my office doctor had suggested to retest the LFT because on 9th July test the values are too high so that's the reason why I had done the test on 22nd August. Sir kindly suggest what is the next course of action against this medical report. Regards Sankalp Sharma
