Actually in my prescription doctors write down for Acivir cream "apply 3 patches 4 times for 5 days " can u explain what is meaning of patches ? Is it 3 times in single use ?

Dear Doctor, Need clarification on how to use Acivir 400 mg to control/cure active lesions. I have active lesions over penis. And i got tested positive with hsv2. And the count of igg and igm  is 183. where as hsv1 and HIV 1&2 got result as negative. I was informed to take the madicine for 7 days 3 times a day to counter the virus and decrease the lesions. However i am not sure on how to take the tablets. Should it be taken directly with water or should the tablet be diluted with water and take it. I could not communicate with the doctor that prescibed the madicine. So seeking clarification here. Could anyone please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Am not suffering from herpes but still physician prescribe me acivir 400dt for vaginal wound... Why?

I have been diagnosed with Genital herpes on the head of my penis but HIV test was negative. I have these sores breakouts reoccurring frequently, like every 10th-12th day, I was being given acivir 400 and acivir ointment. But doctor later told to stop it after 10 days course in the first time. But it reoccur again and I could not resist popping in Acivir 400 and applying acivir. Is this safe to consume or I should take it course wise? Any other best medication for it to reduce sores breakout duration? Any precautions?
