I have the query that what is the main purpose of doing the fogging test? If it done to prescribe eye power then near vision or distant vision test is not enough accurate?

Today I did my eye test at lenskart store. As per test results, I have +0.75 vision alongside -1.25 vision in both of my eyes. At present I am wearing only -1.25 vision specs. Should I need to make specs for +0.75 vision too ?. What is your opinion about progressive lenses. Thanks.

Is it cause any dangerous in further days? He suggested me "PEDIMOX Drops with(E-BAL) Tablets, Is this really Cause any serious?? & he suggested me with "Gentle massage" for 15 times/session... But I am getting nervous about that EPIPHORA,when some people seen me,they asked why are you crying???It makes me feel inconvenience I am regularly using laptop & Mobile,these Epiphora makes feel trouble while I was in work I forget one more thing,In 2015 I met with an accident,Under the left eye I got scratches,Is that related to these EPIPHORA, Please sir,Can you please clarify doubts which I raised above??
