Ovarian cancer detected
Hi,
My mother had a severe abdomen pain due to which we admitted to hospital and did few scans. The scans showed a 12cm cyst on left ovary and 3cm cyst on right ovary. Doctor suggested immediate removal of cysts along with ovary. But during operation, the surgeon felt the uterus dint look healthy and did a total hysterectomy. The parts were sent for biopsy & the biopsy report said it was invasive carcinoma-serous adenocarcinoma, low grade with capsule intact and lymphovascular invasion seen.We got a abdomen and pelvis CT scan done and report looks normal. Now one oncologist says we have to get a ometectomy immediately which again after biopsy if abnormal, should be followed by chemos. V took a second opinion from another oncologist who says they will monitor the patient by doing a CT125 every 2months for few months and see the count. If count is normal, no treatment else they should do omentectomy and few chemos. Please advise as to who is going in right path. CA125 before surgery

I have found two overgrowths present in my head & liver. The both growths are tough, stiff if pressed. but if pressed badly then create pain sensation. I had consulted a doctor for the head, he told me that it may be contact dermatitis but no medicine cured it yet. I'm afraid whether it is oncogenic or not? Help!

Post hysterectomy -biopsy
Hi,
My mother suddenly had severe abdomen and lots of sweating and shivering pain due to which she was admitted to hospital. Post ultrasound scan of the abdomen, they found that there is a 12cm cyst on the right ovary. Doctor asked us to admit her for a laparascopy for removal of the cyst along with the ovary. But during operation, the surgeon felt the uterus was unhealthy and took our permission and removed it [totaly hysterectomy]. Now they have sent the removed parts for biopsy and we are awaiting the results. While awaiting the results, the doctors are scaring us about cancer. The surgeon mentioned she is 90% sure it is malignant and asked us to wait for reports and meet the oncologist may be for some chemotherapy. But my concern is if the uterus and ovaries are already removed and are found to be cancerous, why should she undergo chemo? I am totally worried. please advise. And the CA-125 test count was 1500 before the surgery. Please advise. Are they going in the right path?
