My friend got a blood cancer in the third stage when she tried to do a surgery the doctor said it's in a late stage and he didn't accept the surgery and she is right now taking chemotherapy is it possible in the future she can do the surgery or to be cured in any way ?

I have a question regarding my grandmother, who's been going through some illnesses. Recently, it was noted that she has a higher count of white bloodcells than usual and was diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia. Last week, they did some tests to see if it is cancer related and we are awaiting the test results. I don't know too much information because it has been a sensitive topic. I know cancer is a bit rare when associated with essential thrombocythemia, but we're worried it could be something bad. We've all been a nervous wreck this whole week. What do you think?
