Hello, My mother (Age 61 yrs) has fracture plate in one leg ankle. Now fracture has healed. Is it reqiured to remove plate?

My mom sister is having so much problem in walking and also lifting some objects . She having pain in foot , knee , elbow . and slowly slowly problem becoming worse . and now she having pain in disk . We went to doctor in past months but the result is not good .
