Hi, My father's age is 60 years old. He does not have any bp or any issues other than sugar level spikes but his hb1ac always comes normal. Today he checked his blood fasting blood sugar level by using Accuchek Blood Sugar Machine it came 137 mg/dL and after 2 hours of having food the sugar level came to 113 mg/dL. It has always seen that his fasting sugar always high but limited to 139 mg/dL(the highest level till today). When this issue happened we opted for hb1ac test, which also came normal. Is he having diabetes, should he have to start medications?.
