My father is 83 years old and a patient of dementia since last 4 years.
Last 5 months he has been completely bed ridden with no movement. In the last few weeks he has started grinding and clenching of teeth while he is awake. This mostly starts in the evening.
Since he no longer speaks, it is difficult to understand the reason. Also there is visible decay of his front teeth at the root.
What could be the possible reason, is it due to pain? And is it possible for the dentist to remove teeth at home if at all required since it is difficult to bring him to the clinic. Kindly advise.
I poked my premolar's gum with a toothpick.
There is no pain in the gum but it got a little loose from one end of tooth and small food particle can be stuck under this.Just want to ask Will it be joined to the tooth by itself.
