Tooth Abscess Treatment

For restorable tooth, root-canal therapy is performed whereas non-restorable tooth is extracted followed by curettage of all apical soft tissue. In 1891, the German dentist Otto Walkhoff introduced the use of camphorated chlorophenol as a medication to sterilize root canals. The pain from a dental abscess may be helped with over-the-counter painkillers such as ibuprofen or paracetamol.

TONGUE ULCER

Hello Doctor, This is my father’s MRI report. He developed an ulcer about 3 months ago, which appeared soon after a dental prosthetic implant. The ulcer has been non-healing, so the doctor advised an MRI. Based on the report the current plan suggested is to proceed with surgery along with a biopsy to confirm the type of cancer. We are quite concerned and wanted your expert opinion. Could you please guide us on the next best step? Is proceeding directly with surgery along with biopsy the right approach, or should we consider a biopsy first before planning definitive treatment? Which doc should I refer  Onco/ OMFs?
