I am having dry cough for the last 6 months. I have taken many syrups,anti biotics. But no permanent relief. I am 70plus and cannot sustain the pressure on stomach and chest pain. Please suggest a permanent remedy.

Hello Doctor, I am planning to do a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT/spirometry) in a Government Hospital. I noticed that they may not use disposable spirometry filters and instead use a reusable mouthpiece/tube. I want to know: Can I buy my own single-use spirometry filter from a medical store or online? Will it fit most spirometry machines? Is it generally allowed to carry and use my own filter during the test in a Government Hospital? Has anyone done this before? Will using my own filter affect the accuracy of the test? I am mainly concerned about hygiene and infection safety. Thank you
