Appendicitis Surgery

Appendicitis is the inflammation of appendix, which is accompanied by abdominal pain on the right side, decreased appetite, vomiting and nausea. The first recorded appendectomy that went successful was in the year 1735 when Claudius Amyand, a French surgeon explained the presence of inflamed appendix within the patient’s body. Loss of appetite, abdominal swelling and inability to pass gas are some other signs and symptoms of appendicitis.

Health Q&A
Mebeverine before or after food

Most Respected gastroenterologists here, Last year i was prescribed rifagut 550, providac capsule and meva c capsule for IBS related abdominal cramps. Meva c was to be taken twice and 20 minutes before food. However another gastroenterologist has now prescribed me Rifagut 550, econorm 250 capsule and colospa retard (mebeverine 200 mg) . Colospa retard is once daily after breakfast. Am confused if colospa retard (mebeverine 200) is also better off taking before food? Do they work differently if taken before or after food? Does their potency dictates timing of taking? Warm regards 🙏🏻
