Hello Doctor, my mother (Dilshad, 60 years old) has severe dental infection. The dentist has advised the extraction of around 12 teeth in total (both upper and lower jaw). I am very concerned and want to know if removing upper or lower teeth can have any negative effect or damage on her eyes, vision, or optic nerves. Could you please clarify as an ophthalmologist?
My mother has glaucoma, and she has now lost around 70% of her vision in one eye. Several eye doctors have told us that the vision loss cannot be reversed. I would like to know how we can best take care of her condition and protect the vision she still has. Are there any treatments, procedures, lifestyle changes, or other options that could help prevent further vision loss? Yesterday I got checked my pressure was 12 (GAT) Also in my reports it shows Anterior Chamber: Normal in contents and depth pacd=1ct and Deep and and Quiet. Im I in the risk of angel closure glaucoma in future? Also I have myopia -3 in my left eye and pathological myopia/coloboma in my right eye Like if i strain something or do strength training in gym in that case can it lead to this angel closure glaucoma.
Hi Dr, I am seeing difference in vision of my left eye and right eye. When i close my Left Eye , then from right Eye , I feel discomfortable to read FAR object but When i try same with left eye then I am fine I did complete eye checkup but still i am facing. I have strange brain sensation like heaviness( not headace), PIN pain randomly here and there on head, Something STIFF feeling on Right Eye side… Dnt know if i have brain tumor and this is causing my this issue. attaching eye report
I've had eye pain whenever I wear glasses for the past 12 years. I've tried wearing glasses consistently for long periods (including about 2 years continuously), but the pain never resolved. Because of this, I switched to contact lenses (last 10 years), which were generally comfortable and did not cause the same pain. However, over the last year, I've started experiencing eye irritation with contact lenses as well. It feels as though my eyes have become more sensitive to them, although I'm not sure whether this is due to changes in my eyes or the lenses themselves. My spectacle prescription has been checked and updated multiple times over the years, but the discomfort with glasses persists. What could be causing this, and what evaluations should I undergo?
