Broadly there are three varied kinds of polio infections namely-- Sub-clinical infection which is generally devoid of any specific symptoms, Non-paralytic infections producing mild symptoms but affects the central nervous system and Paralytic infections which is rare but a very serious form of polio that creates full or partial paralysis. Since prehistoric times and the days of ancient art of the Egyptians healthy and young people walking with withered limbs are depicted. Loose and floppy limbs due to weakness of the spine are the major symptoms of Polio.

Dear Doctor, I also have another concern regarding my sexual health. Whenever I have sexual thoughts or become sexually aroused, a small amount of clear fluid (pre-ejaculate/precum) is released from my penis. I usually stop the arousal by diverting my mind before ejaculation because I want to avoid the odor and stains that occur after ejaculation. Is it medically normal to stop at the pre-ejaculate stage, or is it better to allow ejaculation to occur? Could repeatedly suppressing sexual arousal before ejaculation have any harmful effects on my health or contribute to any urinary, prostate, or sexual problems? Thank you for your guidance.

Hi doctors. Since yesterday, I've been feeling like I can't take deep breaths, even while standing and doing basic tasks like showering. I have been diagnosed with allergy, PCOD, GERD, migraines and was also given anxiety medications once. I try to take deep breaths and end up yawning, or getting incomplete yawns. Day before yesterday, at night, I had a stressful event with my family, which ended in me crying for an hour or so. Please advise on how to feel better, as this is really bothering me. All my focus is now on trying to take a full breath, instead of my other tasks.
