Hello Doctor,
2 months ago, my test results were:
Serum Homocysteine: 63.6 µmol/L
LDL Cholesterol: 148 mg/dL
As advised by a doctor, I took Folic Acid tablets for 2 months.
Recent test results:
Serum Homocysteine: 25.33 µmol/L
LDL Cholesterol: 153 mg/dL
Vitamin B12: 283 pg/mL
Vitamin D (25-OH): 46.4 nmol/L
Could you please review these results and advise:
What treatment or supplements should I take now?
Do I need any further tests or follow-up?
Please suggest a good multivitamin supplement for me for stronger bones, teeth, improve weight and overall health.
Age 40 years male.
Here’s a more polished and structured version for posting on Practo:
Hi Doctor,
I am a father of 3.5-year-old twins — a boy and a girl. Earlier, their pediatrician had prescribed AtoZ Mango Flavour drops as a general health tonic/multivitamin. However, during the recent visit, he mentioned that it is no longer necessary.
My children are starting school next week, and we are concerned that they may frequently catch colds, coughs, or infections from other children during the initial months.
I wanted to understand:
1. Is it advisable to give any multivitamin, immunity booster, or health tonic at this age?
2. Are supplements like Vitamin C, Zinc, or any pediatric immunity syrups recommended?
3. Is there anything else we should do proactively to help strengthen their immunity naturally?
4. Are there any signs of nutritional deficiency we should watch out for before considering supplements?
Both children are otherwise healthy and active.
Thank you.
