Red eye, no pain, no itching, watery eye from past 2 days. Usually after wake up. He is a Parkinson patient, so unable to move.

My brother and her wife. Brother have a spectacle power of -4.25 (one eye) and -4.75 (other eye), and his wife has -5.25 and -4.75. They both have myopia but no known eye diseases. We would like to know: 1. Does having moderate/high myopia in both parents increase the risk of their child being blind? 2. What is the approximate percentage risk of blindness for the child due to genetics?
