Facial asymmetry - dental or surgery?
Hello, I had braces when I was 20 and kept them for about 1.5 years - after those braces, I started seeing more asymmetry in my face. Now I am 30 and I see the asymmetry increasing yoy. I want to check if this can be taken care by braces? Of course I can't afford to have metal or ceramic braces as I am in journalism and from the aesthetic pov I can't. I can either have invisalign (heard that doesn't work for extreme overbite) or lingual braces. Before I consult with an orthodontist, I want to check if that will correct the issue of asymmetry or I will have to opt for surgery? Important information- at the age of 13, some random dentist extracted two of my tooths 6-7 molars I guess (highlighted in the picture) and I got implantation done when I was 28, that could have caused asymmetry too right? Looking for very honest and experienced recommendations please. Won't kind paying but all the dentists I visited don't give suggestions but try to make money only :)
