Hello Doctor, I had a dental X-ray yesterday and was advised that there may be an infection in an old extraction area/root region. I have been prescribed Metrogyl, Amoxy 650 LB, Aceclo SP and Rabeprazole DSR. The tooth in that area was actually extracted several years ago. Could you please review whether the treatment plan and possible extraction/surgical removal are appropriate? Also, does the X-ray suggest anything serious or dangerous?
Dear doctor,
My dentist has advised that my son's tongue tier should be surgically cut as it's affecting his jaw movement. Please advise if it's really necessary to undergo that procedure or what could be the disadvantage of retaining it. He is 18 year old boy. If there are benefits of getting tongue it freed from tier . I have attached photo of the same. Request you to kindly advise.

Hi can someone please tell me what it is ? I have this for a month now. It doesn't hurt but get burning sensation when I eat something acidic. It is in the same place didn't spread or anything. I have this ever since I had peri peri fries continuous for week as it was spicy, acidic , hot and salty. Could it be the cause? I did ask my dentist who told me to reach out to oral specialist since I also have hypothyroidism and in a lot stress could be a cause of it. . It does look scary and I'm too afraid to visit the specialist.
I am feeling sensitivity and pain in my tooth, however as per xray no infection is visible what can be the reason?
