Hello Doctor, I am 42 years old, 80 kg, height 5’9”. I need your opinion regarding my digestion issues. For the last 1 year I have acidity/stomach burning, frequent burping, heaviness/tightness in stomach after eating, and a lot of smelly gas passing from below. Sometimes when my stomach is tight it feels like my breathing is restricted. Gas release gives relief. My stool is daily and normal. My endoscopy done 4 years back was normal. Thyroid and Vitamin B12 reports are normal. Current medicines: * Thyronorm 100 mcg * Sompraz IT * Prodep 10 mg (symptoms seem more noticeable after starting this) * Livoluk powder Could this be GERD, functional dyspepsia, IBS/bloating, or medicine-related? Do I need any further tests like H. pylori, or should my Sompraz IT/Prodep medicines be reviewed?

I am a 31-year-old male. For the past 2 months, I have been experiencing constipation and difficulty passing stools. I get the urge to pass stool daily, but only a small amount comes out, and I often feel that my bowels are not completely emptied. The stool is usually hard, dry, and pellet-like (similar to goat stool). Sometimes I need to strain while passing stool. I eat normal meals every day, drink around 3 liters of water daily, and regularly eat bananas. Despite these measures, my symptoms have not improved. I also completed one full bottle of Duphalac syrup, but it did not provide significant relief. I am currently taking Flotral 10 mg for an enlarged prostate as prescribed by my urologist. I would like to know if this medication could be contributing to my constipation. I have also noticed occasional bad-smelling stools. Please advise on the possible cause, treatment, and whether I should consult a gastroenterologist.
