Doing exercise as well but no improvement.
I am a delivery boy working in grocery delivery.
I drive a bike and lift heavy groceries.
Pain since 2months.
Lower back pain from 2months - X-ray done -initial findings no nerve compression or disc issue -concluded muscle spasm. From X-ray spine is completely straight due to muscle stiffnes and the complete body load is coming on spine hence the pain. been advised for physics therapy for a week to relieve the muscle stiffness. Now after 1week physio also the pain is persisting. To clarify once again o don't have radiating pain to leg. After standing still for 5mins the pain travels from lower back towards toward front upper thigh from sides forming a C-Curvature path from back to front via sideways and ceases. I have taken pain killer, muscle relaxants , hot packs , physio , Multi vitamin tablets.
Pls advise the next steps !!
My father's age is 51
He has been diagnosed with slip disc (between L4 and L5)
I have attached the MRI reports
He is having unbearable pain that starts from lower back n goes till left leg
He is not able to sit even for 10 sec tingling and pain starts
We have shown one spine surgeon
He told us to take meds for 3 week n if condition doens't improve then proceeds to surgery
He has given
Ultracet
Pan - D
Gaba neuron (NT 400/10)
Even taking for 10+ days there is no major improvement
We have shown to 2nd doctor for second opinion as it is feeling so much risky for operation
And 2nd doctor said don't take so much meds
And he told to take meds for 6days and stop the previous med
He prescribed
DFZ 6mg
If no improvement then have to do surgery
So now i m confused wht should I do and whom should I consult
Is surgery is the only solution left for my dad?
He is having high blood pressure, diabetes and taking meds of that too
Whom should I consult i want assurance and more discussion
My mother's MRI (Feb) shows: Mild L5–S1 retrolisthesis, Modic changes, L3–4 left foraminal disc protrusion, and L4–5/L5–S1 disc prolapse with caudal migration causing severe foraminal stenosis.
She has pain mainly in the buttock radiating to the leg. She is currently taking Nervite Plus, Gabapin-NT, and Vitamin D3 60,000 IU. The pain has reduced slightly but is still persistent.
Would you recommend any change in medications (add, reduce, or switch), or any specific physiotherapy/exercises that are safe and effective?
Any lab tests to do for check-up the parameters???Please tell me best possible way...
My vitamin D deficiency has been corrected after 3 months of Uprise D3, but I still have calf pain and tingling sometimes although it's less than before.
Which routine tests should I get now? Should I check serum magnesium, vitamin B12, calcium, potassium, thyroid (TSH), or any other tests?
