Pain at knee joint specially on patella
I have a fibula head fracture six weeks ago and also injury at the knee joint. Now the fracture is likely healed and no pain at the fibula head. But during walking and when putting pressure on the knee joint there is pain at the knee joint specially at the patella region. What can be done?
Recurrent neck spasm plan?
Hello Doctor, I have frequent neck pain with spasm and stiffness (about 3–4 times a month). I am planning to avoid muscle relaxants and instead manage flare-ups with paracetamol 650 mg, warm compress, and topical gel. I have already done X-ray, MRI, and other tests, which were normal. I also tried physiotherapy, which helped but only for a short period. As per the physiotherapist, the issue is due to forward neck posture and rounded shoulders. Is it safe to continue managing episodes without muscle relaxants, or could that cause any issues? What should be the long-term plan to reduce these recurring episodes? I’ve noticed weight lifting can trigger the pain, but I also want to strengthen my muscles. How can I safely continue exercising without worsening the issue? Should I continue physiotherapy or focus more on posture correction and specific exercises? What warning signs should I watch for? Thank you.
