If the dislocation happened anywhere between 3 months mild discomfort is normal. I would advice not to do vigourous activities until 6 months-9 months. If you feel the shoulder is repeatedly dislocating or persistent pain then you can get an mri. But first do shoulder room exercise and cuff strengthening exercise and IFT therapy in physio to look for any improvement.
