My girlfriend's CT scan of the nose shows an S-shaped deviated nasal septum (DNS) with a right septal spur and hypertrophied nasal turbinates. Because of this, she sometimes experiences difficulty breathing through the nose, especially during the night. Her biggest problem is that she is unable to sleep properly. Most nights she sleeps only 3 to 4 hours, and she often wakes up because of nasal blockage. This issue is affecting her daily life and overall health. She had a previous fainting episode, so I also got a CT brain scan done, which came back normal. Could you please advise: Whether these symptoms can be caused by DNS and enlarged turbinates. If she needs to see an ENT specialist urgently. Whether any safe nasal spray or medicines can help relieve the blockage and improve her sleep. Whether surgery might be required if medicines do not work. She has no known brain abnormality according to the CT scan. Please guide us on the best treatment.

Hello Doctor, I have been facing these health issues since February: I get very violent sneezing fits in the morning, sneezing around 5 to 10 times. I also sneeze occasionally during the day or evening, about 2 to 4 times. When I sneeze, my nose starts running, and then it goes away entirely within 1 to 2 hours. I also sneeze 2 to 4 times at night, which causes my nose to get slightly blocked while sleeping. Along with the sneezing, I have a persistent sore throat. Please check my symptoms and prescribe the correct medicines and a nasal spray. Thank you!
My brother developed hoarseness of voice after vomiting. An ENT examined him on 16 May and performed an endolaryngoscopy. The ENT diagnosed acute laryngitis and prescribed medicines along with 20 days of voice rest. After about 17 days, the hoarseness is still present and has not significantly improved, but it has not worsened either.”
