Hello Doctor. My father has tongue squamous cell carcinoma. He received 3 cycles of chemotherapy (Nov-Jan), and the tumor shrank significantly. He then completed 36 radiation sessions, after which it reduced even further. However, after 3 months of oral chemotherapy tablets, the cancer has progressed. Our local oncologist says there is almost no chance of survival, but I don't want to lose my father without exploring every possible option. Is there any treatment—different chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, surgery, re-irradiation, embolization, or a clinical trial—that could shrink the tumor, improve his airway and swallowing, or even offer a chance of long-term control or cure? Since he responded well to the initial chemotherapy, could another regimen help again? We are willing to travel anywhere in India for the best possible treatment. Thank you.
She has severe, persistent pain around the chest, upper back, shoulder and arm. She describes it as a pinched nerve, pressure on a nerve, or a bursting sensation. She also has frequent fevers and recurrent night sweats, and the pain is significantly affecting her daily life.
symptoms: persistent cough, blood in cough, fevers, night chills and sweats. pain in head
Over time, she has undergone several CT scans, PET-CT scan once, blood tests, bronchoscopy and hematology investigations. The scans have repeatedly shown multiple small pulmonary 3-8mm nodules, no definite cause for the severe chest and back pain. Pulmonary embolism, pneumonia, pneumothorax, fractures and obvious bone damage were not identified.
Her leukemia and hematology investigations have largely been normal, including blood counts, hemoglobin and platelets. No clear evidence of leukemia or another blood cancer has been found. Most autoimmune, inflammatory, liver, kidney and coagulation tests were also unremarkable.
May we know the seriousness of the report. Surgery done on May 14th and this report received on June 30th. Does Radiotherapy really required
