Hello Doctor, my daughter Jannat is 1 yr 10 months, ~10 kg. She has had recurrent fever: June 21 (settled with paracetamol), around July 15 (fever ~3 days with small pimple-like spots on buttocks, legs and hands, then settled), July 30 (fever 103.6°F, settled), and fever again today Aug 9. Between episodes she is completely active, playing, drinking normally and passing urine normally. Currently no runny nose, but occasional sneezing. At night she snores/sounds congested as if mucus is present and her voice is slightly hoarse/changed. Today I gave Meftal-P at 5:10 AM, Calpol 250 mg/5 mL at 10 AM and Kofcatch AX for mucus. Meftal-P was prescribed in her previous doctor's prescription, which I am attaching. Please review it and advise whether to give Meftal-P again or continue Calpol, including dose/timing. Should I give Alerid (cetirizine) for occasional sneezing despite no runny nose? Why is the fever recurring, and does she need any tests? Is the snoring/voice change due to mucus?
Can a 1yr baby having cold can have banana ? Heard from a doctor to not to have during cold when he was 6 months old. So wanted to double check now . Please advise..
My baby is 6 months old. From the past few weeks I have noticed mustard yellow/orange ear wax coming out of her ear, and yesterday I saw a small amount of black wax. She has also been pulling her ears frequently, but she is teething, so I’m unsure if it’s related.
Over the past 7–8 days, she has stopped consistently responding to her name, although she still reacts to some sounds and ignores others. This sudden change worries me.
Her motor milestones are progressing well—she has started sitting independently since past 15-16 days (still slightly wobbly), gets on all fours, goes into a plank position, tries to crawl, and rolls both ways (tummy to back started recently).
Could ear wax cause reduced hearing or inconsistent responses or is it normal for babies this age to seem less responsive while focusing on motor milestones. Should I be concerned about a hearing problem and consult a pediatric ENT?
Hi doctor. My baby is 2 months 10 days old and his 2nd dose of vaccine at 10 weeks
is on August 11th. At 6 weeks, we got him vaccinated (hexaxim) painless. Is it ok to go for regular vaccine this time, which is pentavalent version. Will it cause any concern? Or should I go for painless only as I started with that
at 6 weeks?. Please help me
