For atypic febrile seizures, our doctor advised to have MRI scan for Brain (Plain) for my 6 months old baby. Is it safe? Are there any side effects of this MRI scan?

Chronic-appearing lacunar infarct
I had a chronic-appearing lacunar infarct in the right thalamus show up on a CT scan of my head that was done in September of 2015. The doctor asked if I had ever had a stroke. I was baffled because I totally unaware that I had. I have since been told this is referred to as a "silent stroke". My question is......will the evidence of this infarction always be there and show up on scans from here on out?

Last year Jan 2015 one week suffer with facial palsy taken medication and cured. Now suffering with nose blocking and cold. Please guide me this is simple test or any risk. Shall I take test withot fear. Please suggest shall I go morning with fasting 9 am or shall I go after brakfast bp tablet taken around 11am.
