Loss of vision

My mother aged 76 years had cataract surgery from a govt hospital on 19th February 2026. Unfortunately she has lost her complete vision after surgery and despite best efforts by doctor nothing could be done. I plead to expert doctors to guide if anything could be done now to restore her vision. Thank you for your help.

Light Sensitivity & Eye Strain Issue

Hello Doctor, I am experiencing significant light sensitivity, especially at night and in bright daylight. At night, exposure to headlights, streetlights, or strong artificial lights causes discomfort in my eyes along with headache on both sides of my head. I feel better indoors under normal lighting. During the day, I can tolerate mild morning sunlight, but harsh afternoon sunlight causes discomfort, and I need to close curtains. I have high screen time (10–12 hours daily) due to work. I am using lubricating eye drops (Eyemist Forte) twice a day, but symptoms persist. I also get negative afterimages which lasts for a minute or more sometimes after exposure to bright light. My previous eye check-up was normal except for amblyopia in my left eye. I would like to know the possible cause (dry eyes, eye strain, or photophobia) and suggested treatment. Thank you!
