I have had a root canal on tooth #6, 7 years ago. I now have a chronic periapical abscess with cheek swelling. My CBCT (attached) shows infection but no clear fracture. I want the best effort to save the tooth (re-RCT) before extraction. Could you please advise if it is possible?
The left side upper molar 2nd and 3rd molar tooth pain is felt and a weird sensation. Like I want to put a tooth pick or prick it
My CBCT airway and tmj reports - severe narrowing of the upper airway seen in the oropharyngeal region distal to the soft palate and base of the tongue (thinnest slice measuring about 83.3 mm2). Grade 1 osteoarthritis associated with the left and right tmj region. Grade 3b narrowed upper airway. As per ent nose is structurally open. But I feel congestion above soft palate. Symptoms - I feel tired and sleepy during the day. Mouth breathing. Forward neck posture. Slight snoring, clenching and grinding. Tongue thrust. What will be the ideal treatment plan for this?
Dear Esteemed Dentists, I need guidance on a new 6-unit bridge (cemented 25 days ago by a prosthodontist) with fit issues noticed within 5 days. Abutments are healthy canines and RRT lateral incisors with posts. Issues: Palpable gap (fingertip fits) on the left canine lingual side, sometimes trapping food. left Canine crown feels bulky, causing constant soft tissue irritation. Sharp Margin: Left lateral incisor margin caused chronic gum irritation after smoothing attempts. Dentist’s Responses: Claims gap is an intentional "cleansing gap." Proposed solutions: gum massage gel for 48 days or sealing with bonding material. Suggested a CBCT scan. Second Opinion: Confirmed poor fit/technical error. Questions: Are these gaps clinically acceptable? Are proposed solutions (gel, bonding) standard ethical treatments? What are the long-term risks to abutment teeth? What is the standard of care for rectification? I seek guidance on an ethical path to ensure my dental health. Thank you.
