Hey everyone,
I’ve been living with type 2 diabetes for the last 3 years and I’m honestly confused and a bit frustrated. My HbA1c is always below 6.8, which seems okay… but my post-prandial sugars are consistently high, usually above 230 mg/dL.
My fasting sugar averages around 140 mg/dL, and despite trying multiple medications over the years, the pattern hasn’t really changed.Right now I’m on:Vildagliptin 50 mg in the morning only.
I live in a South Indian household, so my diet is still very carb-heavy—rice, idli, dosa, etc. I do try to include protein, but in a combined family setup it's really hard to change the everyday meal pattern.
My parents eat the same carb-heavy meals, but their post-prandial sugars stay under 180 mg/dL, which is considered normal. Meanwhile, mine shoots up even with smaller portions.
I’m trying to understand:Why does this happen even though my HbA1c seems controlled?
Do I need Homa. IR Test and change medication?
I am 37 years old. I had an IVF pregnancy. In June, my last HbA1c was 6.7. After that, I stopped taking metformin and continued checking my diabetes regularly. Even without the medication, my fasting sugar stayed around 101, and my post-meal readings were between 130/122/145.
Today, my HbA1c report came back as 6.1, with a fasting sugar of 77 and a post-meal reading of 107.
So does this mean that the diabetes I was experiencing after my miscarriage—which wasn’t returning to normal—has now become normal? Even though the HbA1c is still a bit high?
I have done sugar test with glucometer . Fasting was 107 and PP was 225. Earlier past 15 days it was 106 and 224 respectively. Please guide in the matter

I have been using Mixtard 30/70. Suddenly it has been stopped and pharmacies have no stock of Mixtard. I want to know the alternatives for this insulin. Not the expensive Rhyzodeg buy easily affordable and easily available one in the pharmacy.
I am a breastfeeding mother with 5 months old daughter . I am on calcium and iron supplements. Thyroxine 25 mcg from past 3 years. Recently facing postpartum hairfall issues. Got prescribed Keraglo Eva tablets and follihair serum. Had my TSH done. Got 9.1 value. T4 at 5.5 and T3 at 1.3. Can anyone please suggest thyroxine dosage correction?
