My father aged around 55 years, an iron merchant for 25 years and works involved lifting heavy weights lifting. For the recent times suffering from severe back pain... sometimes pain last for few minutes like 10 mins ... sometimes feeling tired..not having bp sugar...how to get rid of these pain... whether using hip belt helps or what to do..used lot of pain relief spray, oilment etc.

Hello Doctor, I have frequent neck pain with spasm and stiffness (about 3–4 times a month). I am planning to avoid muscle relaxants and instead manage flare-ups with paracetamol 650 mg, warm compress, and topical gel. I have already done X-ray, MRI, and other tests, which were normal. I also tried physiotherapy, which helped but only for a short period. As per the physiotherapist, the issue is due to forward neck posture and rounded shoulders. Is it safe to continue managing episodes without muscle relaxants, or could that cause any issues? What should be the long-term plan to reduce these recurring episodes? I’ve noticed weight lifting can trigger the pain, but I also want to strengthen my muscles. How can I safely continue exercising without worsening the issue? Should I continue physiotherapy or focus more on posture correction and specific exercises? What warning signs should I watch for? Thank you.
