Patient History: The patient is a post-operative coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) patient, approximately 1 year post-surgery.
Recent Hospitalization: One week ago, she presented with acute nausea. She was admitted to the hospital where her original bypass surgery was performed. Over a 3-day admission, diagnostic workups including comprehensive blood tests were conducted, all of which reportedly returned within normal limits. She was subsequently discharged 2 days ago.
Current Acute Symptoms: Within the last 24 hours (starting last night), the patient has developed new-onset neurological symptoms. These include a persistent tingling sensation ("pins and needles") and numbness localized to specific areas, including the periorbital region (around the eyes), the lips, and the head, which she describes as affecting her full body.
