Health Q&A
Periods and pregnancy related issues

I had unprotected intercourse with my husband on March 16 for a few minutes, but ejaculation did not occur inside the vagina. Within about 8 hours, I took an emergency contraceptive pill (Unwanted 72). My last menstrual period started on March 3, and my cycle is usually regular (around 30 days). According to my ovulation tracker, ovulation was expected around March 19–21. On March 30, around 1 PM, I started experiencing abdominal pain, and then I noticed that my period had started. I had bleeding twice during the day, then again around 11 PM the same night. The next day, I had slight bleeding again around 8 AM. After that, there was no bright red bleeding. I only had a small amount of brown discharge once, and then everything stopped. The bleeding was not continuous and was lighter than my usual periods. I am concerned about: Whether this bleeding is normal after taking an emergency pill Whether this could be implantation bleeding Whether pregnancy is still possible in my case

Itching on palms and body

Hi, I am currently about 2–3 months pregnant. Since today morning, I have been experiencing itching on my palms, feet, stomach, and other parts of my body. When I scratch, raised marks appear on my skin (like lines or bumps). I also noticed that the itching reduces when I wash with cold water. However, the itching is present even in the morning. I am concerned whether this could be a normal skin reaction  or something related to pregnancy? Could you please advise if I need any tests ? Also, what treatment or precautions should I take? Thank you.

Vaginal Itching

I think I may have an early stage yeast infection. It has been itching for a few days. Yesterday I examined it myself with a mirror. There was thick, white, clumpy discharge in my folds around the clitoral hood. I cleaned up. Itching subsided for a while. It resumed today. I checked again. There was discharge again. The discharge did not have any odor either. There is no burning or stinging. No itching inside the vagina, just near clit and a little down near the base. It may have been caused because I was on antibiotics during this period (amoxycillin). I am also fairly sexually active which could have played a part. Should I use Clotrimazole 1% or 2%? If so, for how long? If not, what should I take to get the itching to subside? Or should I just Fluconazole 150mg? Or anything else??

Perimenopause: Early Signs Many Women Ignore

Perimenopause is the natural transition phase before menopause, but many women mistake its early symptoms for stress, thyroid issues, or simply “getting older.” This phase can begin in the late 30s or early 40s and may last several years before menopause officially occurs (when periods stop ...
