Uterine Fibroids Treatment

The term fibroid was coined and introduced in 1860 by Rokitansky and in the 1863 by Klob and in 1854, a German pathologist named Virchow demonstrated that these neoplasms or fibroids were composed from smooth muscle cells. In radio frequency ablation, the fibroid is shrunk by inserting a needle-like device into the fibroid through the abdomen and heating it with radio frequency electrical energy to cause necrosis of cells.
