Dear Doctor, I am experiencing a fungal skin infection in my groin and inner thigh area for the past few weeks. The affected area shows white flaky patches, redness, and dark discoloration. Symptoms include intense itching and burning sensation upon touch. The infection appears to come and go — partially improving and then worsening again. It has now spread from the groin area to the inner thigh. I tried topical antifungal cream (Itraconazole-based) but saw no permanent improvement. The condition has worsened over the last 2-3 days. Kindly advise appropriate treatment.I also notice white flaky discharge/patches on the penile skin occasionally." Thank you.
