Health Q&A
Frightened chest pain

Hello Doctor, I am 43 years old with diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid issues. My conventional angiography was normal, CT coronary angiography (3 years ago) was normal with calcium score 0, and my TMT, 2D Echo, and Holter monitoring done recently were all normal. For the last one month, I have been having almost daily episodes of sudden fear/anxiety followed by severe left-sided chest pain, sweating, and near-fainting sensation. Today I had two such episodes while resting. The pain is very intense and makes me feel like I am having a heart attack or may die. With all my cardiac tests being normal, what could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do next? Thank you.
