My periods started at age 14 and became irregular around age 15. At age 16, I was told that I had ovarian cysts and was prescribed medicines to regulate my periods. I was also given another large pink-colored tablet, but I don’t remember its name. After taking the medicines, I experienced sudden weight gain. I later consulted another doctor who said the previous medicine dosage may not have been appropriate. PCOD/PCOS was never confirmed. My periods are still very irregular—sometimes I don’t get them for around 3 months and sometimes up to 9 months. I want to know the possible cause and what tests or evaluation I need.

Ive noticed since 2 months that i get symptoms like feverishness and mild cold before the onset of periods as in PMS timeframe and also at times dizziness and bloating.How to cure it?Could it be due to hormonal imbalance?
