I was prescribed Moxclav 625 three times a day for 5 days by my ent doctor for my unilateral tonsillitis. Now online I am reading Amoxicillin is given for 7 to 10 days. Can anyone clear up my confusion?

My right ear is bleeding before bleeding there was something white coming out from it and my left ear is having some hearing prblem
Dear Doctor, Something pricked the inside of my mouth on July 2nd. Three days later, it turned into a wound-like sore. Even now, five days later, it hasn't healed.
