My mother is between 45 and 55 years old. For the past few weeks, she has been experiencing bleeding/periods 3–4 times within a single month. Earlier, her menstrual cycles were regular, but now the bleeding has become very frequent. We would like to know the possible reasons for this. Could this be due to perimenopause/menopause, hormonal imbalance, uterine fibroids, polyps, thyroid problems, or any other underlying condition?
What investigations or tests would you recommend, and should she consult a gynecologist immediately? Please advise on the possible causes and the appropriate next steps for diagnosis and treatment.
Today was my day 3 baseline ultrasound and i have AFC of around 12 but there was a cyst of 22 mm and estrogen levels came 288 which means it is estrogen producing cyst. My doc said she will give injections folligram 300 iu for 5 days to see how response is and if response is ok she will continue with stimulation is this right approach? Or ahould i cancel ? Please please advice
