Doctor, is it okay to have intercourse during pregnancy? Also, is it okay if semen is released inside during intercourse, or should it be avoided?

My mother is between 45 and 55 years old. For the past few weeks, she has been experiencing bleeding/periods 3–4 times within a single month. Earlier, her menstrual cycles were regular, but now the bleeding has become very frequent. We would like to know the possible reasons for this. Could this be due to perimenopause/menopause, hormonal imbalance, uterine fibroids, polyps, thyroid problems, or any other underlying condition? What investigations or tests would you recommend, and should she consult a gynecologist immediately? Please advise on the possible causes and the appropriate next steps for diagnosis and treatment.
I had my period on 21st November then on 22nd Dec then on 21st January then on 17th February then on 15th March then on 10th April then on 6th may then on 10th june then on 7th July. Now my question is I had mistakenly taken overdose of expired nexito plus on 6th Jan and maybe on 17th Jan. Can this cause false menstrual period like Bleeding on 21st January? Period was normal it took 10 pads and continued for almost 5 days. If you kindly answer it will be helpful to me.
