Health Q&A
Post Pulmonary embolism (Thrombectomy)

I had pulmonary embolism last month for which I had thrombectomy. Currently on Apixaban treatment. Which specialist should I consult for further treatment. Shall I consult an Interventional cardiologist?

Pls check my ECG

Hello sir, I dont have any problem. But i have health anxiety. Pls check my ECG and do needful. I keep on worrying and negative thinking abt health.

Please suggest

My father had a major heart attack last month . After performing an angiography, the doctor has advised bypass surgery along with mitral valve replacement or repair. His current Ejection Fraction is 25, and he is also diabetic.

Increased heart palpitations

Since more than a week I was having this weird feeling in my chest or a small dull pain in between. Friday when I was coming back home I went to the ER because my heart rate increased, I was scared and my chest pain increased (left side of the chest). The doctors said the ecg does have a few changes but could be old or psychological too. Trop I test was 0.90 so they mentioned this could most probably be an anxiety attack so I was suggested to visit a cardio to get a review. I was suggested Pan 40 twice a day before food and Concor 2.5 after food twice a day. I stopped as per the 3 day course however I couldn't get the appointment for my cardiologist so I haven't been to the cardiologist yet. Today i smoked but when I was smoking while leaving I was told that smoking leads to increased palpitations and I guess my body panicked but my palpitations increased. I came home and had concor 2.5, my bp was 143/93 with heart rate of 102. Now my bp is 117/84 with 82 heart rate. Possible reason?

Regarding high triglycerides

I am a 38-year-old male recently diagnosed with Chronic Ischaemic Heart Disease. My recent laboratory results show very high triglyceride levels at 563 mg/dL and total cholesterol at 249 mg/dL. Although I do not currently have chest pain, I have been experiencing palpitations and shortness of breath while running or talking 10 miniutes, sometimes accompanied by syncope. I am currently prescribed LIPANTHYL (Fenofibrate) 145 mg and ASTATIN (Atorvastatin) 10 mg. Since my insurance has not approved further investigations, could you please advise if an echocardiogram is strictly required for my condition or if there are alternative steps I should take?
