Hello Doctor, my mother has ovarian cancer and has completed 4 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy with very good response (CA-125 reduced from 273 to 11). Her treating team is now planning interval cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC. We would like to take an expert opinion specifically regarding whether HIPEC is truly necessary/beneficial in her case, considering the additional recovery burden and cost.
